Eliza Verhovsek:
Literary & Film Rights Consultant
Welcome.
As a Literary & Film Rights Consultant, I specialise in helping authors, publishers, and production companies navigate the complex process of adapting literary works for film, TV, and other media. With experience at a leading literary agency in Australia, I focus on identifying and developing stories with strong adaptation potential, ensuring they are positioned for both creative and commercial success.
I work closely with authors and publishers to manage the optioning and sale of rights, ensuring their work is brought to the screen with integrity. Additionally, I collaborate with emerging writers, offering editorial support to refine and strengthen their work, helping them stand out in a competitive market.
My academic background includes a Bachelor's in English Literature and Philosophy, with First-Class Honours in Philosophy from the University of Sydney, and a Diploma in Screen Studies from the Australian Film, Television, and Radio School. I also serve on the editorial committee of WhyNot!, a non-profit literary magazine, deepening my engagement with contemporary literature and its cultural impact.
I am based in Paris, France.
